Murano, Mayfair

Angela Hartnett’s Murano in Mayfair received a Michelin star within 4 months of opening. That says something.

Not to be confused with Cafe Murano just down the road, also by Angela Hartnett. We saw a few people who walked in, enquired about their reservations, and were asked by the reception if they booked a table for Cafe Murano instead.

Fantastic cooking, beautifully presented, served by attentive & professional waiting staff. The wine connoisseur is full of knowledge (overheard her conversation with a couple on the table next to us).

Pretty dining room

Smoked haddock with broadbeans and garlic crostini

Grilled aubergine with rocket, raisins, and pine nuts

Risotto with parmesan overload

Fettucine with grilled courgettes
